Filing CRA Forms

Acumatica ERP supports the generation of the following forms and their electronic submission to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA):

T5018 form

The Contract Payment Reporting System (CPRS) requires construction businesses to record payments they make to subcontractors for construction services and to report these payments to the CRA.

If your organization files more than 50 T5018 slips for a calendar year, you must file the T5018 return by submitting the file in a format acceptable to the CRA. Acumatica ERP gives your organization the ability to track payments made to vendors and to file the T5018 return electronically.

When filing T5018 payments, you can differentiate payments with the Services or Mixed type from payments for goods. The latter are not included in the T5018 returns.

T4A form

This report is also known as a Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity, and Other Income. Using Acumatica ERP, you can generate the T4A XML file and submit is electronically to the CRA.

To be able to configure this functionality, you need to enable the Canadian Localization feature on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

Configuring CRA Reporting

To configure reporting for the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in your system, you need to perform the tasks described in this chapter.

Filing the T5018 Form Electronically

You use the Create CRA E-File (AP507600) form to generate an electronic XML file with T5018 returns, which you will submit to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) at the end of the reporting period or at the end of the calendar year.

Filing the T4A Form Electronically

You use the Create CRA E-File (AP507600) form to generate an electronic XML file with T4A returns, which you will submit to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) at the end of the calendar year.

Printing T4A Slips

You can streamline your year-end tax reporting by printing T4A slips on the Print/Email T4A Slips (AP507610) form.

Emailing T4A Slips

You can email T4A slips on the Print/Email T4A Slips (AP507610) form.

To Generate the Original CRA Reporting Forms

You use the Create CRA E-File (AP507600) form to generate the original T5018 and T4A forms in XML format.

To Generate an Amendment to CRA Reporting Forms

If you have added or voided any payment to a particular subcontractor and require an amended T5018 or T4A report, you can prepare an amendment for the original report on the Create CRA E-File (AP507600) form.

To Print a T4A Slip

You print T4A slips on the Print/Email T4A Slips (AP507610) form.

To Email a T4A Slip

You email T4A slips on the Print/Email T4A Slips (AP507610) form.
