Integrating Acumatica ERP with PDF Annotator

You can review and annotate PDF attachments directly in Acumatica ERP by using the PDF Annotator integration.

This integration allows you to:

Open PDF files from records on forms that have the Files button
View and navigate PDF documents
Access document details and bookmarks
Add comments and text notes
Use standard editing tools to mark up files

You can also save annotated PDF files as new file versions to preserve the attachment history without downloading the file or using an external PDF editor.

Annotating PDF Attachments

In some cases, when you review a PDF file that is attached to a project, you may need to highlight a text (for example, an amount on a vendor bill), add a note to a contract, or mark up a drawing before another user reviews it. You can do this directly in Acumatica ERP by using the integration that lets you open a PDF attachment from the record where the file is attached, add comments or markup, and save the annotated file as a new file version. You do not need to download the file or use an external PDF editor.

Using Annotation Tools

On the PDF Preview (SM400009) form, you use the embedded PDF Annotator viewer to review the selected PDF file, add comments, and apply markup. This topic describes where the main annotation tools are located in the viewer and how you can use the available buttons and commands.
