Integrating Acumatica ERP with OpenID Identity Providers

In Acumatica ERP, you can configure integration with multiple OpenID providers for a System tenant or multiple tenants.

The configuration of this integration is available if the OpenID Connect feature is enabled on the Enable/Disable Features (CS100000) form.

This chapter describes how to integrate Acumatica ERP with OpenID identity providers.

Back to TopIn This Chapter

  • Configuration of an OpenID Identity Provider
  • OpenID Connect is a simple identity layer on top of the OAuth 2.0 protocol. There are multiple public OpenID identity providers that you can use for authorizing users, such as Microsoft and Google identity platforms, OneLogin, and Okta.
  • Sign-In with OpenID Identity Providers
  • When general and authentication settings are specified, a system user can select a sign-in option on the Sign-In page.
  • Direct Sign-In Through an OpenID Identity Provider
  • You can set up a single sign-in connection to Acumatica ERP from an OpenID identity provider—such as OneLogin or OKTA—that serve as central hubs for multiple applications, including Acumatica ERP. With this configuration, a user who is signed in to an OpenID provider can sign in to Acumatica ERP with just one click on the Acumatica ERP icon, bypassing the Acumatica ERP Sign-In page.
  • To Register an Acumatica ERP Instance with Google
  • For your users to be able to sign in with their Google accounts, you first have to register your Acumatica ERP instance with Google and obtaincredentials for configuring the OpenID provider. This is a necessary step in configuring single sign-on (SSO) for your Acumatica ERP instance. For more information about registering applications in Google, see Google Developers Console Help.
